In the newspapers, there are many advertisements that make trading apear to be simple. These advertisements unfortunately promote unrealistic expectations in the minds of new traders.
Everyone should have realistic expectations when they start out in any endeavour.
The following list sets out some expectations that are part of the realism of trading: Continue reading ‘Have Realistic Expectations’
I was invited to a 2 day teaching seminar held in Jakarta. The new Shinkendo study group has 7 members and is is headed by Chris Kinetik, who is a skilled Aikido practitioner.
The seminar went well, with the 2 day seminar covering material that is normally taught over two months! I remember how it was like for me when I first started, with so many new terms, concepts and techniques. The Indonesian group is very enthusiastic, and they have asked me to visit them again in July. If they practice well, they may even qualify for Shinkendo’s first ranking.
I have recently migrated my blog to a new host.
Today was the first time that I striped my Iaito for cleaning and inspection. The tang is in good condition, and the mekugi is still sound and usable. After cleaning, I duly reassembled the Iaito. This reminds me of my National Service days when stripping and cleaning the AR15 was a daily chore!
The market has closed above the maximum extension with a bullish directional candle. This event is now hinting that the bullish trend can possibly sustain. If market can close with bull bars above the maximum extension for 2 consecutive days, I will change my stance from range top to acknowledging bullish trend continuation instead.
12M is in bullish upswing; 13W is in bullish upswing;18D is also in bullish upswing, but has reached Demark exhaustion. In addition, the 18D swing is highly overbought statistically, in both price and time.
12M is in upswing, but is now in the 12M primary sell zone; 13W is in bullish trend; 18D is also in bullish trend with new Demark exhaustion.
